April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select set of females who've been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix-Klineman will be competing with April Ross Tokyo for her third gold medal over the next few days. Ross hopes to win the Olympic debut gold however, she also hopes to win even more. At 39, this could be Ross' last chance to win the Olympic gold. However, she's convinced that top prizes are within reach. If we play our top or do well, I believe we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. "I'm also going to try some luck." Ross was born the 22nd, 1982 located in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area with her family. Ross played in numerous sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Apart from the indoor game, she also was a basketball player and also ran track in her pre-college days. Although she was a pro when playing indoors, it was clear that her abilities were higher than average. As a high school volleyball career, according to her college profile, she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. To honor her achievements she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player in 1999. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Awards in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play since the year 2017. The reality is that Ross was a major player on the beach volleyball circuit before joining the duo. She has had the chance to win numerous events, one of which was with a legendary volleyball player. Ross teamed up along with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's coach. Together, Kessy Ross, she was a major force on the international stage, claiming an international title in 2009. The pair eventually picked up an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, edged their opponents to claim the gold medal. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement after she had retired. They took home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC during her college days, prior to becoming a professional. Her experience at USC was awe-inspiring. When she was a freshman in 2000 Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans get to into the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss during her sophomore year, however, she was capable of achieving the All-American award. The last two years in the Trojans' program they won success by winning two successive national titles. She had established her place as a legend winning the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was a student at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to watch her daughter's rise to fame as a beach volleyball player. Ross's mother passed away from breast cancer when she was a sophomore at USC. She has kept her parents close to her heart. Margie has been an inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beaches.
