April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is one of the few female beach volleyball players who have achieved this feat. Alix Klineman has become a brand new Olympian and will join her at Tokyo. Ross hopes to win the Olympic the first medal of gold but she's also hoping to earn more. At 39, it may be her last chance. However, she's convinced that top prizes are in reach. If we perform at our very highest or play well I feel like we'll be able to win that gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. Also, I'll take some luck. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a her sister. At Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many different sports. She was a basketball player and also ran the track as well as her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. Though she excelled in indoor volleyball but it was apparent that her abilities were higher than average. Her college biography states that she was an outside-hitting hitter, middle blocker, as well as a setter in her volleyball playing career in high school. For her efforts, she was honored as in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. Her skills in volleyball brought her the Orange County Athlete of the Awards in 2000. Ross is playing with Klineman since 2017 but her beach game was well-established long before this. She's won big tournaments twice with different partners. The other is an icon of the volleyball world. From 2007 to 2013 she played by Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who took home the title of world champion alongside Kessy in 2009, was also significant on the an international level. At the 2012 Olympic Games, they won a gold medal. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio to beat for the gold. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement after she had retired. The duo were able to win bronze in beach volleyball in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans of USC in her college after graduating from high school. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was amazing. In 2000, as a freshman the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Young Player of the Year awards. She also helped the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. During her sophomore year she experienced a devastating personal loss but still managed to repeat as an All-American. In her last two seasons in the program she led the Trojans up to the summit of the mountain by winning two consecutive national championships. She had established herself as an all-time legend having won the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the most outstanding female college volleyball player. Ross, who was a USC international relations student, was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross was not able to see Ross reach beach volleyball's highest stage. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She is devoted to her mother who died. Margie has been an inspiration both in her personal life and at the beach.
