Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington works as an author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. After moving into England from Greece when she was 16 and obtaining an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. She was the first person from outside the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she became the voice of Huffington Post. She was able to get many prominent contributors to share their thoughts about politics and culture. Arianna was first noticed in 2003 as she stood in California's recall vote, in the place of Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes declared her to be one of the "most powerful woman" within the field of media, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 top media personalities in 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her president of that media group which included many at the time-current AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli, who are both journalist and management consultants. Although she was a close friend with her father, it was her bond with her mother which shaped her character. Even as a young girl she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. When she moved to England, she was sixteen to further her studies and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman president, and also the sole foreign president. In 1972, she earned a degree in Economics. She worked as a critic, a TV host and a columnist after her graduation. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
