Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one who was able to successfully cross the divide between pop and country music while sweeping the globe. Swift has shed her roots in the country as if she was shedding skins for second purposes, and has proven herself to be one of the most savvy pop singer/songwriter of her time. She has the ability to tap into the current trend and turn it into her own. The skills she displayed were apparent on her early hits including the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out who she was and in the process, finding an audience of mass. Fearless was a big hit not only in America where its Top Ten singles Love Story and Belong with Me helped it to record six platinum albums as well as around the globe. The album was particularly successful in Canada, Australia in Australia and Canada. U.K. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous success, and catapulted her into superstardom. In the three albums that followed (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 and Reputation 2017, Swift's fame only grew. This was a sure sign she had moved to the new music scene where she fit in. She stayed in the forefront of pop even when she dropped her signature style in her twin albums, folklore and Evermore in 2020.
